Resumen
RUIZ, Deyse y PACHANO, Lizabeth. Nihilism in contemporary schooling. Educere [online]. 2006, vol.10, n.32, pp.83-90. ISSN 1316-4910.
Following Nietzsche’s ideas, it can be stated that when facing education and schooling three attitudes corresponding to classifying author-described nihilism types can be assumed. On one hand, denying education and schooling’s crisis in modern times is acceptable, what is more, defending “old schooling principles and values” without recognizing such attitude (implicit nihilism). On the other hand, it is possible to assume a crisis-recognition attitude, but forsaking looking for an alternative (passive implicit nihilism). Finally, the third choice, the active explicit nihilist one showed when being able to transform the “old schooling principles and values” for “new ones” by building new interpretations for education and schooling.
