ZAMBRANO LEAL, Armando. Three types of professor knowledge and responsibilities: a complex relationship. Educere [online]. 2006, vol.10, n.33, pp.225-232. ISSN 1316-4910.

The pedagogical practice of professors allows us to focus our attention on three types of knowledge: discipline, pedagogic and academic. These types of knowledge have a place in practice and are connected to three questions: what do I know?, how do I communicate what I know?; and, how do I develop with what I know? These types of knowledge and these questions allow for a reflection on being, on identity, on the specificity of the profession, practice and the vocation of the professor of being able to do something. Faced with a diferent interpretation of the professor ’s responsibilities, we aim to question these types of knowledge and, through this path, answer their complex nature.

Palavras-chave : professor; development; curriculum; types of knowledge; learning; pedagogical practice, responsibilities.
