In this review article, a group of studies related to university education that take on the description and analysis of the organization of teaching in the university classroom are examined . For this purpose, a corpus of research results that establish the relation between teaching conditions and achieving student autonomy to critically discuss their learning. As a result of this review, we conclude that professors are responsible for developing, within the classroom, learning conditions that allow the students access both to specific knowledge of the fields of study as well as the learning strategies that will allow them to build and rebuild this knowledge.
