Didactics appeared on the French scene during the seventies as a result of the political, economic and cultural transformations that French society went through during this decade. The transformation of the school system needed to create a research team able to understand the complexities of education. At the same time, the political system laid the foundations and set the rules to certify this knowledge. These two elements were the foundations of a new university-level field of knowledge known as Education Sciences. This discipline actually appeared ten years before didactics, institutionalized with the February 11 th decree and the Administrative Act of December 7th 1967. For Education Sciences, didactics is an area of practical knowledge in school. On the other hand, didactics sees Education Sciences as a wide area of knowledge where diferent disciplines that are interested in the study of the acts and facts of education come together, giving it its typically francophone character. Due to the above, we are interested in understanding the specificity of the relation and tensions that arise from it in contemporary times.
