The broadest theme that leads our research is the position of teachers within the social structure in Argentina and the possible existence of a proletarization process among them. This paper hopes to answer that question: ¿what proof can be found of this proletarization process? An alternative path is given to the one posed by contemporary writers on teacher proletarization, trying to build proof that can help determine in what measure are teachers being subject to laws that regulate price of paid work. To this end, official statistics from the end of the 1990 ’s and early 2000 is used.
