MARTINEZ, Oswaldo. Mathemagical: a world of possibilities. Educere [online]. 2007, vol.11, n.37, pp.223-232. ISSN 1316-4910.
To make a reference to the mathemagical is thinking about lascivious activities based on processes that seem magical and that are organized on the basis of mathematical contents underlying resources such as riddles or mathematical curio. Such activities open up a world of possibilities for the Mathematics’ teaching-learning-evaluation process; because of the motivation and interest they rise when they are presented in an amazing and magical manner, due to their nature and the design used to find or discover the consequential results coming from what they propose. By being lascivious, these activities seem right to diminish aversion, rejection, hatred, fear and that entire unfavorable compendium of actions sustained by afective command factors linked to the student ’s failure in Math which, by the way, is still a subject characterized by not attracting most students and by being one of the most unpopular subjects in the curriculum
