Most of our Letter students have a poor knowledge on Spanish language linguistic structure. Due to this worrying situation, it was necessary to redirect Greek I teaching goals so its learning would contribute to improving the level of knowledge of our mother tongue ’s linguistic structure. This paper, which derives from the application of a pedagogic proposal for Greek I, is aimed to: 1) Redirect ancient Greek language teaching-learning process. 2) Studying ancient Greek language from improving the knowledge on the Spanish language linguistic structure. 3) Establishing a relationship between ancient Greek linguistic structure and the basic morphologic, semantic and syntactic structure of the Venezuelan Spanish language
