Resumo

This article is part of a qualitative research paper developed in the field of the Basic Education 2nd Stage (high school) in the Caroní district in Bolívar state, aiming to design a methodological proposal that contributes with Environmental Education (EA, in Spanish) in the educational system. For its development, teacher ’s previous knowledge and current pedagogical practice were considered in the field of two general concepts involving the educational-environmental process, which are: Environment and Environmental Education. The methodology allowed the interaction and construction of a pedagogical model to seize the process of incorporating and systematizing EA as a tool that allows current pedagogical practices integration with educational innovation according to the context. All of this was achieved thanks to the design of open questions structured survey-type instruments and interactive work workshops. The results were disintegrated from the conceptual aspects, the contrast with pedagogical practice, an approaching to curriculum local contextualization, to the construction of the Methodology for the Systematization of Environmental Education (PMSEA, in Spanish)
