Abstract
MELENDEZ, Luis E. Organizational tendencies of engineering university professors.. Educere [online]. 2008, vol.12, n.40, pp.53-61. ISSN 1316-4910.
Understanding academics’ cotidianity leads to analyze its intersubjectivity approaching individual-collective dispositions towards attitudinal objects, the academical profession it interacts in and the organizational functions from the cooperative education emerging from the university-enterprise relationship. Here, we try to characterize the organizational tendencies of the university professor -by university interaction- towards the dedication to plan curricular and institutionally the professional education in engineering. Such tendencies are studied by a theoretical, experiential and statistic dialog interpreting the organizational conations of the university professor. It is stated that 80% of academics who studied at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Zulia, expressed important tendencies for such functions. With this, an accurate teaching attitude is constituted for organizational functions (university management) with business participation and, at the same time, it allows to create new scenes and roads for the permanent education of professors regarding the traditional functions of the university: research, teaching, and extension; as well as the management-administrative areas of the institution.
Keywords : academic; pedagogic tendencies; business-university relationship.
