The goal of this study is make a reflection on the social representations of the shared pedagogical knowledge between teachers and students, aiming to generate a theoretical-practical contribution to the pedagogy of hope. The nature of the study emphasizes the dialectic subject-reality interaction and assumes subjectivity as source of knowledge, for this reason, it is subscribed within the qualitative-critic paradigm and using ethnographical methods, as well as reflection and critic self-reflection. Two groups of subjects made out of sixth grade students and teachers participated in this research. The information was obtained directly from class interaction, using non-participant observation, reflections circles and image gallery. Information interpretation allowed organizing the facts into analysis matrixes which originated knowledge categories and social representations shared in the classroom, as base for the systematization and theoretical-practical construction of a proposal as contribution to the pedagogy of hope.
