A commented summary on the International Convention on Children’s Rights is presented starting from the doctrine that supports it: integral protection, vision and consequences. When making reference to the integral doctrine, we make reference to the one that preceded it: irregular situation doctrine and the implications of its application. Next, it is pointed out in the article that the International Convention on Children’s rights is part of the group of legal instruments that make up the doctrine of integral protection. Then, some key aspects of the International Convention on Children’s Rights are laid out: the people responsible of its application, controversial aspects and reach. Finally, its principles are described and, in a summary, so is its content.
