Resumen

LEON G, José de J. Legal considerations about the community service of the undergraduate student from the University of Los Andes. Educere [online]. 2008, vol.12, n.42, pp.531-538. ISSN 1316-4910.

In this article we present a proposal for teaching Calculus which emerges from the especial interest on studying and analyzing the different approaches given to its teaching in different countries; approaches that have considered the mathematical infinite, specifically the "small" infinite called "infinitesimal", as its center. An infinite that leaves cognitive and pedagogical conflicts that become obstacles for the comprehension of key concepts such as limit, continuity, real number and successions among others. The article pretends to contribute to the debate, leaving for educators and university mathematicians guidelines that allow them to orientate their pedagogical praxis from the elements of the didactical triangle.

Palabras clave : teaching; calculus; small infinite.
