In this article, a didactical sequence is proposed from the study of the preconceptions science and engineering students have about the concept of electrical flow. Such proposal was made from the results obtained from the biliogrpahical revision of university texts in physics, using content analysis techniques, as well as the application of an instrument of alternative conceptions to 50 engineering students. The results showed that the texts do not have a clear language on the polisemy of the term flow; and a significant part of the sample associates electrical flow with movement and not with force lines. Such results could generate possible wrong conceptions of the term flow in electromagnetism. This proposal should be validated in future research.
