Latin America is a developing region and economically dependent, together with the worldwide phenomena of drugs. Our country does no escape this and some structural characteristics subsist where women develop in society. The following paper is about an aspect of the analysis of female delinquency due to drugs made in Mérida (Venezuela) in the “Región Andina” Penitentiary between 2005 and 2006 about the demographical, educational, family and socio-economical characteristics of the women involved in drug-related crimes and their motivation to commit them. The aspects were tackled by a census. This is a transectional, field, descriptive and inference research. Among other results a significant relation between the kind of crime according to age and education level of the mother is evidenced. Regarding the motivation for the crime, the income, family and the childhood living acquaintances variables were significant.
