Abstract

In this article, the usefulness of significantly learning the written language for the student is raised in order to access information as a base for the construction of knowledge. This way, the pedagogical attention is focused on aspects that the teacher has to put into practice to meet with the role of mediator between the information and the orientation he or she must provide for the student so it can build knowledge from information and so it values the benefits obtained when joining the information and communication highway. The importance of the cultural context is highlighted and the need of providing students with equal educational opportunities, capacitating teachers and supplying materials for schools.
