Learning how t read is a process that requires certain conditions from the learner. But at the same time it requires help and recourses provided in the classroom by the teachers. From this perspective, it seems obvious that educators must have specific competences to appropriately lead its teaching and learning. But, what happens when teachers are found without the necessary tools for this end? Raising such situation from the university made up this study. Its own nature is qualitative and supported by an interview conducted on 14 professors. Once the data was analyzed the author, following Sole et al (2001:69), concludes that it is necessary to welcome this type of activities, and in this case the beneficiaries are the high school teachers.
