Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the narrations about the motivations a female student from the school of Education had to undertake this career and about herself. It is sustained on symbolic interaction, discoursive psychology and social constructionism and it is framed in qualitative research. The participant was asked to write an autobiography from a semi-structured script. Through her narration, Camila described herself in different moments of her life, highlighting the significance of people in the construction of her own self, as she describes it. When describing herself as a university student, she shows pride and fortune, elements of positive value that tell her vision about her career and how her vocation is being cultivated.
