Organizations in Venezuela have been affected in the last century by socioeconomic factors, causing unstable environments, thus facing great challenges in the management of human talent; That is why it is necessary for organizations to have emotionally intelligent people capable of leading them to success. The objective of this article is to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and leadership in the pharmaceutical sector; For which a research was carried out under the quantitative paradigm, of descriptive type and level, with a field study model and non-experimental, descriptive transactional-correlational design. The sample was accidental non-probabilistic, with a total of 100 workers belonging to two pharmacies of a Venezuelan franchise. Using as instruments the Emotional Intelligence and Leadership questionnaires developed by Araujo, Corzo, Molero and Rodríguez (2024), which presents adequate content validity indices, with a reliability coefficient estimated by the Cronbach method of rtt = 0.90 rtt = 0.87 respectively, which indicates high consistency, security and balance. The data processing is carried out with descriptive statistics, finding that the leader has a very high level of emotional intelligence, and a relationship between it and the leadership levels, positive, of 0.78 with the permission and pinnacle levels, 0. 74 with human development, 0.72 with production and 0.43 with position.
