ESPINOZA MELENDEZ, Milagros Karina  e  ALDERETE VELITA, Joel Joab. Work stress and remote work in lima: correlational analysis of psychosocial factors. Telos [online]. 2025, vol.27, n.2, pp.623-638.  Epub 05-Dez-2025. ISSN 2343-5763.  https://doi.org/10.36390/telos272.13.

This study aimed to analyze the relationship between remote work and occupational stress among employees of medium and large formal private-sector companies in Lima Metropolitan Area. A quantitative, non-experimental, and correlational research design was employed, with a stratified sample of 383 participants. Data was collected through structured surveys using validated and reliable scales (α = 0.880 for occupational stress and α = 0.901 for remote work). The results revealed a significant negative correlation between remote work and occupational stress (rho = -0.284; p < 0.01), suggesting that, in certain contexts, this modality may increase psychological strain among workers. This association highlights the need to reassess the conditions under which remote work is implemented, considering its potential adverse effects on emotional well-being. It is concluded that, while remote work offers flexibility, it also requires specific organizational strategies to mitigate the impact of occupational stress in this modality.
