The research is qualitative, focused on grounded theory and organized in 3 moments: (1) Characterization of graphic design career at Universidad del Zulia, (2) Diagnosis of the elements for the teaching and learning of graphic design proposed by a group of teaching actors, and (3) Model construction. The achievement of digital competence as the foundation of the project activity deserves a pedagogical praxis in correspondence with the complexity of the training requirements in the graphic design area, prepared to develop in students the ability to respond to the profession challenges.
