Abstract

The purpose of this article is to review the ideas of some authors interested in the study of organization through the analysis of the methaphore as a strategy to understand the organizational framework and to foster changes as a result of a cognitive restructuring. The studies evidence the need to create new organization metaphores which can account for its complexity and foster un-learning and learning and therefore change and innovation. In this regard qualitative research emerges as the most appropriate way to tackle the study of organization.
