Abstract

The present work presents the result of the phase of diagnosis of the project of alimentary education, based on clinical, demographic information and the alimentary habits, starting from a sample of students of Educación Preescolar’s specialties and Integral Education in the Institute. The methodology consisted a study of field of descriptive nature with the students that entered in the years 2003 and 2004 in this specialties. The sample was selected in an aleatory way, probabilística, stratified, for a total 124 students of feminine sex, attributed to the headquarters of the Urbina. Three instruments were administered: the first one was based on clinical and demographic data, the second referred to the aspects of the diet, and The third in relation to nutritional information, hygiene and conservation of the foods. Among the conclusions they stand out that: a) the populations study object not reflect a potential risk of illnesses transferable, inadequate alimentary habits, ignorance of the nutritious value of the foods and the composition of the diet, and b) The programs directed to those who will exercise and they exercise the docencia in the levels of Initial and Basic Education he should make emphasis in the aspects: biological and physiologic of the nutrition, in dietary and nutrition, technology and conservation of foods, nutritional anthropology and in the alimentary psychology; as long as they are key notions in the mark of an integral education. The present project has the support of the Subbureau of Investigation and Graduate degree and the financing of FONDEIN.
