This paper presents a documentary overview of the concept of creativity of different authors and how to evaluate it in the educational context, as well as several methodological and theoretical approaches such as: creativity and intelligence, the evaluation of a creative individual, intervention in creativity: the evaluation of an experience with children from 8 to 10 years of age, the seven intelligences and their corresponding creative-productive individuals, creativity and freedom, creative liberation programme with second grade students, behavioral analysis and the structuring of an evaluation system for human creativity and motricity, academic performance, among others. As regards to methodology, it presents the analysis of the methodologies applied by several authors, among which are: qualitative and quantitative methods, experimental designs, comparative studies and qualitative research. Likewise, it points out several data gathering techniques and instruments, such as: observation, interviews, proofs, tests, questionnaires, teaching and learning activities like free drawing and games.
