Abstract

ARRAEZ, Morella; CALLES, Josefina  and  MORENO DE TOVAR, Liuval. The Hermeneutics: An Interpretative Activity. SAPIENS [online]. 2006, vol.7, n.2, pp.171-181. ISSN 1317-5815.

The present investigation lies in the documentary and qualitative paradigm since its objective is the analysis of hermeneutics as an interpretative activity of oral or written text and to grasp with precision and fullness its sense and the possibilities of the existential future of man. Thus a specific text is analyzed along with his author, his own history, his contents and his meanings in the context of the historic world he comes from. There the interpreter establishes a dialogue with the text that involves a multiplicity of meanings, points of view and conceptions set by the book’s moment in time which is different from that of the text and of the author himself. From this point of view hermenéutics is considered a discipline for the interpretation of the texts, to understand the whole, to understand the part and the element and, more in general, the text and the object interpreted, and the interpreting subject should belong to the same environment, in a way that could be considered circular to comprehension, consequently the form of the language is conceived like an existential mediator agent of the hermeneutics experience. This implies the possibility to interpret, to detect new directions and to extract conclusions in more extensive horizons of comprehension.

Keywords : Hermeneutic; Interpretation; Text.
