Resumo

The purpose of this investigation was to design and analyze educational situations for students in initial teacher training to acquire, develop and employ timely learning strategies designed to develop cognitive and affective skills that promote the strategic learning. The methodology was based on the qualitative paradigm, involved a field investigation of descriptive character, the techniques of data collection were participant observation and a deep interview. As instruments we used the notebook of the investigator, the registration notebook and recording. Also, depending on the proposed objectives, the investigation was divided into four stages that allowed: (a)to identify the cognitive and metacognitive strategies used by students, (b)to design instructional strategies, (c) to implement the strategies designed and finally, (d)to analyze the impact of the implementation of strategies. In conclusion, the applied instructional strategies promote student awareness in the study procedures and encourage strategic learning overcoming the deficit.
