The purpose of this article is to provide those interested in the aspect of the curriculum of the academic scope, some considerations and reflections about the challenge that the theoretical construction in the change processes of the curriculum represents, understanding that they represent a vision from the Venezuelan university, and specifically from an academic institution which trains teachers. In this sense, we have indicated the following aspects: the introductory , some studies about the theoretical basement and the reform of the curriculum, the theory and meta-theory of the curriculum, paradigm change in the curriculum and educational formation, the policies, parameters and criteria in the curricula of educational formation in Venezuela, and the case : Liberator Experimental Pedagogical University . It concludes with a close look about some questions which the transforming task of the university poses and the challenges this will face for preparing in the face of the requirements, ruptures, challenges and controversies of the new times.
