Resumen
LARA DE GONZALEZ, Sara. The Field work from the perspective of the teacher. SAPIENS [online]. 2011, vol.12, n.1, pp.76-93. ISSN 1317-5815.
It aims to assess, from the experience and perception which the teachers of the UPEL have specifically of the area of Geography, the fieldwork as a teaching strategy. We use the reflection as a valid source to build knowledge in education. It is a qualitative research, based on the Interpretive Paradigm, where we use the technique of deep interviews to uncover the perceptions of the participants. In the analysis we employ the continuous comparative method, in the first instance ten subcategories emerge, and then these are reduced to three categories of higher order until we obtain the central category: the Fieldwork as a teaching strategy. The research findings support the conclusion that the teacher considers the fieldwork as a teaching strategy whose implementation requires an action plan conformed by a sequence of planned activities and involved around an objective favoring a significant learning.
Palabras clave : Field work; teaching strategies; significant learning.
