Resumen
CISNEROS, Freddy. Educational software design to promote meaningful learning of geometry in the Bolivarian elementary school. SAPIENS [online]. 2011, vol.12, n.2, pp.31-46. ISSN 1317-5815.
The purpose of this research was to create an Educational Software that allows the integration of computer science to the Meaningful Learning of geometry for children who were attending to fourth grade in a Bolivarian Elementary School. The research was a Special Project. Based on field and documentary research. The method used was the study of cases. The studied subject was covered by children of a Bolivarian Elementary School. specifically in fourth grade. The procedure in this research was divided into three phases: (a) Analysis; the theories, strategies and stages that exist for the development of educational software, were investigated and analyzed,. (b) Design of the Educational Software; the addition of the computer as a tool for learning geometry, was raised through the educational software. (c) implementation and evaluation. The techniques and instruments used for data collection were the semi-structured interview, participative observation and documentary evidence. The results obtained allowed us to verify the feasibility that the Educational Software had in the Meaningful Learning of geometry for children who were attending to fourth grade in a Bolivarian Elementary School.
