The Revolution in Venezuela is a process dating back to the beginnings of Chavez government, however, in recent years it has become more popular in the media. This aggressive presence has generated a response that has become visible in the media that is against the revolution, such as press, radio, TV, magazines, among others. At the same time, it is clear that not only the propaganda against Chavez is in the traditional media but also it is in permanent circulation on the internet (via e-mail), messages ranging from analysis of the Constitutional Reform proposal to jokes, cartoons, and truthful images of corruption and wastage. The objective of this paper is to analyze the textual and iconic content to see the rhetorical resources used to deduce the profile arising from the ruler.
