The formation in mathematics is key in the education of the individual. However, the rejection that the student fell for it is increasing. The research had the objective of investigate the relationship between the affective and the cognitive in the teaching and learning of mathematics in students of elementary school. Specifically in the "University Institute of Technology Delfín Mendoza". Also, another objective was to propose didactics strategies with affective elements, using the principles of the Integral Pedagogy. The research was part of the interpretative paradigm, descriptive and exploratory. To search the information it was considered the use of interviews, questionnaires and direct observations. It concludes, among other things, that strategies such as problem solving, use of the news, the ict and development of teaching resources, can motivate the student to the learning and bring a positive attitudinal change, reversing the rejection he feels for the discipline.
