The objective of this research is to analyze how meanings are created in the current New Argentine Cinema and its correlation with different socio-spatial processes emerged in the urban area of the city of Buenos Aires at the beginning of the XXI century. For this, theoretical contributions of phenomenology will be used, due to the purpose of this paper is to analyze the development of the daily practices of the characters of a movie. This research will analyze, within the diegesis, the sense of the action with their socio-spatial practices in the framework of a socio-economic crisis environment. The implantation of the “accumulation openness model” in Argentina generate, from the seventies, serious consequences on the social fiber of the country, still trying to recover. The cinema, as an art of representation, reflected this process of unprecedented impoverishment and conjugated with some themes that have been historically in the local cultural production. This allows to consider that the analysis of audiovisual media through geography is unavoidable.
