TERAN, Iris y GONZALEZ, María Cristina. Knowledge and medical practice from the standpoint of Integral General Medicine postgraduate residents, in two municipalities of Aragua State, Venezuela. Comunidad y Salud [online]. 2008, vol.6, n.1, pp.14-22. ISSN 1690-3293.
The present survey was perforared based on the qualitative paradigm and pointed to the identification of social representations circulating within the collective imaginativeness around the knowledge and medical practice, generated by Mision Barrio Adentro among general practitisness and postgraduate residents of Integral General Medicine in two Municipalities of Aragua State, during 2006. The identification of the above arentioned social representations allowed the unveiling of codes, symbols, registers and significances around medical care which need to be deconstructed as to understand the epistemological framework supporting the formation process of the future specialists in General Integral Medicine, whom are suppose to propitiate y and make concrete the aims and objectives of the Mission. The qualitative analysis of the reasoning. Demonstrated the existence of a hidden curriculum within the implementation of the official curricular design. This generates an evident epistemological contradiction between being and must be in the formation of the practitioner required by Barrio Adentro Mission; in perspective of the make- up of the National Public Health Service.
