VILLASANA, Pedro y LICON, Katerine. Aproximation to critical social representations of the warning to the populations sex-gender diverse staff specialized public clinical laboratories. Comunidad y Salud [online]. 2013, vol.11, n.1, pp.37-52. ISSN 1690-3293.
This paper attempts to a critical approach to the social representations of the staff of expert clinical laboratories, about the attention to population sexogenerodiversa. A scan with qualitative approach through focused interviews with the staff of a clinical laboratory specializing in sexually transmitted diseases is done. The information is analyzed by triangulation between theory, discourse of the informants and the presuppositions of the research team. We were able to demonstrate some degree of misinformation about basic notions of sexuality and gender, well-marked prejudices about the identity and direction of sex and gender, as well as attitudes homolesbotransfobicas in the speech of the informants interviewed. Segregation, stigmatization, discrimination and abuse emerge as important categories in the representations, which also reveal a strong socio-cultural determination in its modeling, accompanied by posture of justification of moral basis for these behaviors personally denied to practice
