Abstract

This work was carried out to evaluate the existence of the syndrome Bullying and patterns most frequent aggressor and victim, forms of abuse and views of teachers to intervene in the violence. The study was conducted in a public campus Lyceum named Jose Luis Ramos, located Maracay, Aragua State, Venezuela. To this end they made a descriptive study with a field design, from a nonrandom sample of 166 students in the 7th and 9th grade diversified cycle, between 10-17 years of age as well as the participation of 33 teachers in different subjects by selected sections. Questionnaire was applied intimidation and bullying (PRECONCIMEI). The results indicate that the most common form of abuse, are the insult, blackmail and threats (49.4%). Patterns of the aggressor and victim are not directly related to sociodemographic variables, however, beset older more than younger age (p = 0,00). The subjects belong to social strata II, III, with the reasons for the harassment "led me" (42.15%) and "do me other" (19.8%). In the pattern of victim personality variables (feeling "weak") are the most striking. On the positive side, to effect resolution of the phenomenon, students manage to express their situation to their parents and peers and teachers believe in the participation of experts in the field and parental involvement
