The enactment of the Law for the Promotion and Protection of the Right to Equality of People with HIV/AIDS and their Families, published in Official Gazette of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela No. 40,571, the thirty (30) December 2014, between other aspects, deepens the State guarantee for people with HIV/AIDS to exercise their right to health on an equal footing. In this regard, the author highlights the need for regular health centers care that health workers has been providing people with HIV/ AIDS, this in the firm intention to reduce the stigma and discrimination which are the subject under it is inconceivable that those who are bound to the promotion and maintenance of health, and at all times, respect for life and the human person, act contrary to these principles. In this context, the implementation of the Act, must resize the medical and health action as well as the guidelines of health facilities in the care of people with HIV/AIDS and their families, thus creating conditions conducive to handling eradicate prejudices associated with occupational health through strategies to sensitize staff in their successful implementation. This reflective exercise, aims to pave the way for the assessment of the effectiveness of this Act, for future research, as well as the ethical and academic debate in order to set up mechanisms to counter practices affecting the full exercise of citizens' rights.
