The sustainable increasing of poultry in localities of the Andean Venezuelan region and the use of dung in market-gardens which generate Musca domestica populations pose contradictory economicsanitary situations. Because of the cosmopolitan resistance of house flies to synthetic insecticides, we propose the use of entomopathogenic fungi locally present in nature as a biological control method. In this assay spores of Beauveria bassiana (Moniliaceae) isolated in Venezuela produced 95% mortality in 6.23 days in populations of Musca domestica, at a dose of 6,000 spores per fly. We propose the use of similar concentrations of spores in aerosols to control M. domestica in local units of agricultural production.
