Spores from Beauveria bassiana (Monilia:Moniliaceae) applied to poultry sheds containing 7 chickens per m2, at doses of 9 X 107 spores/mL in 15L of water per 1200 m2 reduced the density of adult Musca domestica flies by 100% during the poultry reproduction cycle. Reduction of the population was attained after fogging of the spores once per week, for 3 weeks. The benefits of this approach are discussed in terms of their impact on public health in the locality.
