Abstract
ARRIETA, Xiomara and DELGADO, Mercedes. Technologies of Information in the Teaching of Physics of High Education. Enlace [online]. 2006, vol.3, n.1, pp.63-76. ISSN 1690-7515.
Technologies of information and communication (TIC) include different sectors of society, from production, economy, science and culture up to education. Several countries of the world have incorporated TIC into high education, involving the ideas of globalization and word wide spreading of knowledge, creating new ways of teaching and learning everyday. The purpose of this investigation was to determine previous knowledge that a group of teachers of 9th grade of basic education, in the area of physics, had about TIC, applicable to the proccess of learningteaching in this subject, to offer a program of training and updating. The methodology used in this case permitted to give this group of teachers a serie of workshops and assessment about the use of internet and educative software for the teaching of physics, in order to apply these resources as an impacting tool to tackle some topics of this subject during their daily work. The effectiveness of these teachers´ formations was measured through their students, determining their impressions and acceptance of the use of technologies as a part of the educative transformation in our time. These students showed great interest in the study of some topics of physics using these resources, allowing the creation of motivating and challenging educative environments for the construction of knowledge.
