Abstract

BURGOS, Iván. El diseño en arquitectura: entre los chamanes del tercer entorno y la realidad virtual. Enlace [online]. 2008, vol.5, n.3, pp.109-128. ISSN 1690-7515.

The Design in Architecture: Between Shamans of the Third Environment and Virtual Reality Abstract This article’s goal is to highlight how Digital Technology (DT) influences creative processes in architectural design, specifically how it can be integrated to the emerging thought on complexity paradigms, and to the reformulation of current vitruvian principles, as well as to conventional methods and teaching, in order to avoid the fragmentation of scientific knowledge in architecture. Virtual Reality is a fundamental part between percepto-sensoral activity and interactivity in other designs’ processes, that, with the constant use of informational component, offers meaning to architecture’s endeavor, in as much as it generates concepts such as Design Oriented to Events.

Keywords : Design Oriented to Events; Design Complex Epistemology; Virtual Reality; Corporeality.
