Cinema is likely to be the most representative art of the human experience, as we can explore the unseen reality in films content. Illness and suffering have been a constant source for feature film stories. However, traditional education methods in nursing have been based exclusively on both empiric and theoretical models, avoiding alternative perspectives of knowledge management. The inclusion of technological tools like cinema provide positive goals on the potential of knowledge creation and management in Health Sciences as well as other knowledge disciplines, by enhancing theory assimilation and students participation. The aim of this article is to explain our experience in using feature film materials in postgraduate education to enhance nursing methodology implementation, as well as strategies used to integrate theoretical and practical tools.
