Abstract

Discussion forums are spaces in which participation, debates and discussions are generated on a specific topic or of interest to the student, influencing critical thinking, interactions and communication between the parties. Therefore, the current investigation aims to establish the discussion forum to enhance critical thinking in students at the Carlos Salinas Lagos School, province of Talca, Maule Region-Chile. The methodology used is quantitative at a descriptive level, with a population of 60 educators who work at the aforementioned institution. Likewise, a Likert scale questionnaire with three response alternatives was used as an instrument: agree, neutral and disagree. The main ones realize that teachers maintain a very favorable attitude towards discussion forums with respect to the fact that they represent a valuable tool, they are created to generate exchanges of ideas, opinions and information and enhance critical thinking, they are used in the development of subjects through virtual platforms.
