This research analyzes the influence of Artificial Intelligence tools in vocational guidance programs for middle and higher basic education students. Based on the need to update educational approaches in the face of digital transformation, the study employed a mixed methodology (quantitative and qualitative) with a descriptive design within the action-research paradigm, applying formative talks and questionnaires to 209 Ecuadorian students. Results reveal a paradigmatic shift in professional preferences: interest in digital careers increased extraordinarily from 2,39% to 46,41%, while inclination towards traditional professions decreased. A notable feminization was observed in STEM disciplines, with 71 women versus 26 men interested in digital careers post-intervention. It concludes that vocational guidance programs require substantial recalibration to incorporate transformations driven by the digital revolution, facilitating students' construction of life projects aligned with emerging 21st century realities.
