Dynamic capabilities are fundamental for organizational adaptation and innovation in dynamic environments. This research evaluated the influence of dynamic capabilities (absorption, innovation, learning, and adaptation) on innovation processes (management, commercial, and processes) at the Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Microempresarial Sucre (COACMES). A mixed approach (qualitative-quantitative) was employed using validated questionnaires applied to eight managers and an interview guide, analyzed with ATLAS.ti, Napkin AI, and SPSS. The results showed a moderate positive correlation (0.614) between dynamic capabilities and innovation, highlighting a strong and significant correlation (r=0.936; p=0.001) between adaptation capability and commercial innovation. Qualitative analysis identified innovation capability as a central node, linked to budget, resources, and technological adoption. It is concluded that dynamic capabilities act as direct drivers of organizational innovation, with adaptation being determinant for the diversification of financial products. This study provides a diagnostic framework applicable to the Ecuadorian financial cooperative sector, although it presents limitations due to its cross-sectional nature and focus on a single entity.
