ALVARADO-LEON, Beatriz Lourdes. Strategic planning: a tool for strengthening teachers' professional competencies. Cienciamatria [online]. 2024, vol.10, n.18, pp.219-236.  Epub 22-Ago-2024. ISSN 2542-3029.  https://doi.org/10.35381/cm.v10i18.1263.

This article is presented with the aim of demonstrating that the application of a strategic planning (SP) model strengthens teachers' professional competencies. It is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 30 teachers selected by non-probabilistic-intentional sampling, with 15 in the control group and 15 in the experimental group. The data were collected by means of a questionnaire with closed and dichotomous questions, and were analyzed with the Shapiro Wilk statistical method and the Mann-Whitney U significance test, using SPSS-25 software. With the hypothesis corroborated, it is stated that PE is a relevant and high-impact tool in education. It is closely related to teaching competences, as PE provides a framework for the development of teaching competences, while teaching competences are essential for the effective implementation of this planning model.
