Currently, it is essential to address equity gaps in relation to technologies and contribute to improving education in rural areas of the country. Therefore, this article is presented in order to describe the elements that characterize the interrelation between ICT's and education in rural Ecuadorian environments. It is a documentary research with bibliographic design. The analysis shows that rural education plays a fundamental role in the construction of a more just, inclusive and sustainable Ecuadorian society. However, although it faces great challenges, the incorporation of ICT's is of significant relevance as it offers opportunities to innovate and improve it. Therefore, the technological tools and resources to be implemented must be accessible, versatile and able to function in these rural environments with technological limitations. And, thus be able to contribute to improving the quality of education in these communities.
