DAVIS-CARRILLO, Wilmer Jhon; ALBURQUEQUE-DAVILA, Alida Jacquelìn y QUITO-ESTEVES, Arlette Camila. Health management and social determinants in type 2 diabetes. Cienciamatria [online]. 2024, vol.10, n.19, pp.81-94. Epub 30-Nov-2024. ISSN 2542-3029. https://doi.org/10.35381/cm.v10i19.1351.
The general objective of the research was to analyze health control and social determinants in type 2 diabetes. The research was carried out from a quantitative perspective through the retrieval, collection and analysis of documentary and bibliographic references. In this sense, the researchers used a documentary bibliographic design to carry out a research process in which the study population is mainly based on written documents such as refereed papers, as well as taking into account the analysis of the content of the information collected, which allows results to be obtained. The analytical-synthetic methods were used. It is concluded that a combination of biological factors and social determinants of health influences type 2 diabetes, a complicated chronic disease. The risk of developing T2DM, disease progression and treatment outcomes can be significantly affected by factors such as socioeconomic status.
