The main objective of the article was to analyze the impact of the organizational climate on work performance within the management units of health care institutions. Methodologically, a documentary review of journals indexed in Scielo, Scopus and Redalyc was used. As a result, it was determined that the term "organizational climate" refers to the disposition shared by the members of an organization about their work environment, including thoughts, emotions and behaviors. Therefore, it was concluded that workers' views are shaped through interaction with both formal and informal elements of the organization, taking into account policies, methods, relationships and culture that affect them in their workplace.
