The main objective is to evaluate the ethnobotanical potential of forest species taking into consideration medicinal species. It is an innovative project, which applies a descriptive methodology, developed in situ, aimed at solving practical problems. The study reflects that 60% of the respondents are women, who are the ones who have the knowledge of the number of medicinal species and their ages range from 48 to 83 years. In addition to this, 30 forest and ruderal species were identified, after which guidelines were established for the conservation of these species.
