Sustainable practices are actions that seek to minimize the negative impact on the environment, society, economy, thus promoting the conservation of natural resources and social equity. The research question is: What are the strategies that promote sustainability and how can they be applied to the educational environment? To face the challenge of climate change and promote citizen participation in environmental protection, it is essential to implement a series of actions and strategies. According to the literature review, the authors recommend: establishing a waste collection fee system, promoting nature conservation at home and at school, conducting initial assessments of the waste generated, organizing education and awareness-raising activities, installing water-saving and water harvesting devices, and evaluating the use of materials that reduce the consumption of paper and other resources.
