The objective is to analyze occupational engagement and teaching success from a documentary analysis. A descriptive literature review was carried out as primary sources of information about the variable work motivation, with a population of 18 articles related to the researched topic. People with a high degree of motivation develop a sense of belonging to the organization where they work, perform their functions with responsibility and autonomy. The existence of extrinsic factors related to the worker's environment is highlighted, where the precariousness of these factors can generate a certain degree of dissatisfaction or demotivation and the attention to these factors generates a higher degree of satisfaction, making a similarity with the bifactor theory refers to hygienic factors.
